- Simmer uncovered over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes until the sauce thickens and the tomatoes break down.
- If a smoother sauce is desired, blend with a hand blender until it reaches your desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot with your favorite pasta, store in the refrigerator, or freeze for later use.
